The DOCK5 water-ski and wakepark sits on the Dürener Badesee between Cologne and Aachen, with its entrance on the east side of the lake. It's a well-run, broadly set-up cable park that goes beyond the usual wakeboard/water-ski menu — making it a good fit for beginners, families and progressing riders alike. The setup Cable-driven, so conditions are dependable whenever the park is open. DOCK5 offers cable riding and instruction for every level, from taster sessions to coaching, plus — unusually for a cable park — a dedicated foil offering alongside SUP. That mix makes it stand out from the typical single-discipline wakepark. Honest caveat: like all lidos the beach side is weather-dependent, and cable riding runs to session times, so check the opening hours. Conditions & levels A flat-water cable spot with no waves. Beginners take introductory courses and start sessions with coaches; intermediate and advanced riders progress on the cables and features; foilers and SUPers add variety away from the cable. Best season Rideable roughly through the warmer half of the year; summer offers the best water temperatures, spring and autumn are quieter. A wetsuit is recommended outside high summer (rental available). Good to know (safety & rules) Confident swimming ability is expected.
